The Full Story Behind the Track: “Grease”
In 1978, Barry Gibb wrote the title track for the 1978 film adaptation of the popular stage musical Grease. Performed by Frankie Valli, who once exclaimed that “Grease’ was one of the biggest records I ever had in my career,” the song was number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts for two weeks. Barry Gibb can be heard singing backup vocals on the recording, which also features Peter Frampton on guitar.
The Bee Gee’s later performed the iconic song on their One Night Only tour from 1997 to 1999. Take a trip back in time and give “Grease” a listen here: http://spoti.fi/2uCGGxI
